About Gisborne Foodbank

The Gisborne Community Care Foodbank is a not-for-profit incorporated association which commenced operations on 26 June 2019. We source and distribute food and essential household items to individuals and families in need throughout the Macedon Ranges. We offer a safe environment where those who are experiencing financial and emotional stress can seek practical assistance to improve their wellbeing.

The Gisborne Foodbank was established by the local Churches who had identified and had been responding to the needs of community members who were struggling financially and facing food security issues. It became evident that a more permanent solution was necessary and so the Churches worked together to make the Gisborne Foodbank a reality.

The Gisborne Foodbank is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-3pm and by appointment.

We are located at the rear of the Gisborne Uniting Church at 23 Brantome St, Gisborne (enter via Heritage Way). We have a number of trained volunteers who assist our visitors each week. It is our hope that those who are finding it difficult to put food on the table from time to time, will feel comfortable to visit the Gisborne Foodbank to pick up some essential items to tide them over until their situation improves.
